Dear Swagata,

  At first, take my cordial love. Hope you are well by the grace of God. I am also well. Today I am writing this letter to tell you about my experience of visiting a zoo.

Last December I along with my parents went to Alipore zoo. After buying tickets we entered the zoo at 10.30 am. At first, we saw a chimpanzee who welcomed us with his bare teeth. Then we saw different types of birds like peacocks, robins, parrots, parakeets, ostriches etc. in the bird zone and crocodiles, snakes, and lizards in the reptile zone. The crocodiles were lying like the dead. We saw zebras, deer, leopards, monkeys, two tigers and two lions. I felt sad looking at the lion as they were very weak. I think the zookeepers did not take care of the animals properly. They should not be kept in cages, but they should be allowed to roam in a jungle or a reserved area.
