a. Why did Bholenath bring the tiger home ?

Bholenath brought the tiger home because he thought it to be his donkey. In that stormy night he did not understand that it was a tiger.

b. What made the neighbours come running out of their huts ?

The scream of Bholenath’s wife, on seeing a tiger tied to a tree, made the neighbours come running out of their huts.

c. Why were the villagers relieved ?

The villagers were relieved because the tiger tore the rope and ran away to the jungle.

d. How did the king reward Bholenath for his bravery ?

Bholenath was made the Commander-in-Chief of the king’s army and he was also given a huge house to live in by the king as a reward for his bravery.
