The Hare and the Tortoise

Once upon a time a Hare and a tortoise lived in a forest. The hare was very proud of his lightning-fast speed. He made fun of the tortoise for his slow pace (speed). One day the hare challenged the tortoise to have a race with him. The hare accepted the challenge. The race started. The hare ran very fast leaving the tortoise far behind in the blink of an eye. Confident in his abilities, the hare decided to take a break and rest under a shady tree. He fell asleep. The tortoise steadily made progress. Sometimes later he passed the sleeping hare and reached the winning post first. The hare woke up and ran as fast as he could. He saw that the tortoise was already at the winning post. He lost the race.
