        Swami Vivekananda.​

1. Swami Vivekananda was a remarkable Indian monk and teacher.

2. He was such a towering personality that still shines bright.

3. He was born on 12th January 1863 at Shimla in Calcutta.

4. His father was Viswanath Dutta, a lawyer, and his mother was Bhubaneswari Devi, a pious lady.

5. His early name was Narendranath Dutta.

6. Narendranath was a worthy student.

7. He did his schooling at Metropolitan School and passed BA with honours in Philosophy from Scottish Church College.

8. Later he came in contact with Sri Ramakrishna and became his disciple.

9. He dedicated his life to the welfare of humanity.

10.  He was given a new name Swami Vivekananda.

11.  He dedicated his life to the welfare of humanity.

12.  He attended the World Religious Conference in 1893 in Chicago and gave a historic lecture on the unity of all religions.

13.  In 1897 he founded Belur Math and Ramakrishna Mission to help the poor and educate children.

14.  Swami Vivekananda's message was simple: "Be brave, be strong, and believe in yourself."

15.  The great monk passed away on 4th July 1902 at the age of 39 years.
