Ans- On dull November days the poet loves to see the cottage smoke curling upwards through the trees, the pigeons nestled in their cote, the cocks crowing upon the dung-hill and the mills whirling over the heath.

Use the following flow-chart to write a paragraph within 100 words on how to make paper :

Paper is one of the most useful things in today's life. The total system of education and other official works mainly depend on paper. Its preparation consists of a number of interrelated stages.

At first, bamboo is cut down from the clumps and carried to the factory. Then they are cut into small pieces and cleaned well. Next, the pulp is made of those bamboo pieces. Thereafter chemicals are added to the pulp to make it white and soft. Next, the pulp is rolled into sheets by the rolling machine. After that colour is added to the sheets. Then these sheets are dried up and cut into different sizes. Finally, the paper is ready to use and sent to the market for sale.

Introduction: Paper is one of the most useful things in the field of study and printing. To make paper in a factory, the following process is adopted.

Write a biography of Annie Besant within 100 words based on the hints given below:

Hints: born on 1st of October 1847 in London-famous British writer-well known Socialist, activist for the rights of women-participated in Indian politics-joined the Indian National Congress-became the first woman President of the Indian National Congress in 1917-passed away on 20th of September 1933 in Madras, India.


Annie Besant

Annie Besant was English by birth, but Indian by choice. She was a great freedom fighter. Annie Besant was born on 1st October 1847 in London. Her father’s name was William Wood and her mother’s name was Emily Morris. She was a famous writer and a well-known socialist. She got married at 19 to Frank Besant but soon got separated from her husband over religious differences. She became the leading speaker for the Fabian society as well as the Marxist Social Democratic Federation (SDF). She was an activist for the rights of women. Later she took part in Indian politics. She joined the Indian National Congress to liberate Mother India from the clutches of the British. In 1917 she became the first woman president of the  Indian National Congress. The great lady passed away on 20th September 1933 in Madras, India. The country will remember her contribution to the freedom movement forever.
