To overcome his trouble, Bholenath’s wife tied him securely to the horse with a rope.


c. What made the enemy soldiers greatly scared ?

The enemy soldiers were greatly scared, when they saw a wild looking man tied to a fierce stallion coming towards them to fight single handedly.


d. Do you think Bholenath could truly be called a legendary character ? Give reasons for your answer .

Bholenath cannot be truly called a legendary character as he was not a true warrior and what happened to him was all by virtue of his luck.

10.(a). Imagine you are caught in a storm while returning home one night. Write a short paragraph in about sixty words describing your experience. Use the following hints:


Returning from aunt’s place-sky darkened-wild wind-rain-no one around-how you reached home 


One night I was returning from my aunt’s house. My home was 700 metres away from my aunt’s. It was a gloomy night. Suddenly on my way, wind started blowing heavily along with drizzling rain. I stood under a large tree to avoid getting wet from the rain. Suddenly I heard the screams of foxes. As I was all alone there, I got scared. Having no other options, I dashed out from there. I kept running until I reached my home. Although I got completely wet, I breathed a sigh of relief.

His name is Ramu who is also a student. I have an aunt who is a potter. Her name is Sabita and she is married to Birendralal, a postman. Damu who reads in a college is their only son.
